Last time, I logged out after doing some major inventory management. Saturday, I started by delivering the AI program to Rose at the Top of the World.
She gave me another task to do, but instead of doing it, I decided to investigate a mysterious object that landed in The Forest. I find Alyssa, who tells me that the door from a vault landed in the street.
I decide to go investigate the now doorless Vault 63. Vault 63 is full of creepy electrified ghouls called “The Lost.”
After battling a bunch of them, I find an intercom, where a shady character arranges a suspicious meeting with me. I decide to leave that task for later and instead head to Foundation to convince the Settlers to get inoculated against the Scorched disease.
However, my plans get thrown off track when I innocently tried to help out a Whitesprings security robot take down a ghoul and apparently accidentally shot it. A small army of robots came after me, destroying pretty much all of my gear and forcing me to spend a considerable amount of time scrounging up the ingredients necessary to make adhesive so that I could do repairs.
After visiting several farms, West Tek, and the workshop at the dirt track, I set up a small garden and a water purifier at my camp to start cranking out adhesive ingredients. Unfortunately, I had to make do with some less-than-ideal equipment while accumulating what I needed for repairs.
I once again set out for Foundation, stopping to gather an Overseer holotape along the way. I talk to their leader, Paige, but he wants me to go find their doctor before he’ll agree to inoculate the people. I find the doctor hiding in a cave after a pack of Scorched killed off the rest of his party.
I convince him to get on board with the inoculation project and return to Foundation. While there, I speak with a woman named Maggie, who wants me to discover what became of her father in the Monogah Mine.
I leave Foundation and head toward the Shenandoah National Park to meet up with Hilda, the woman from Vault 63, but encounter a settler who wants me to track down his missing companions along the way. I go searching for his friends and make some progress, but then a pack of Thrashers show up and kick my butt all over Skyline Valley.
The weapons I brought with me weren’t doing much damage to them, so I decided to go back to my camp and give this mission a try later. After repairing my weapons and armor, I decide to work on some of the side quests I’ve been accumulating.
First up, I return to Riverside manor to search Cryptos for the Phantom Device components. I need a stealth boy, which I already have, and some HallucinGen gas.
I travel to a Hornwright Industrial office where I battle a bunch of robots and find the gas in a safe. I then return to Riverside to fabricate the device.
Next up, I need to acquire a historic sword from Whitesprings. I start on that mission but use up my stimpaks fighting charred ghouls and decide to go to the Wayward to restock supplies and then return to my camp to log out.
Tomorrow, I’ll resume the quest to acquire the sword.
