Yesterday, I logged out after contacting the Responders’ HQ and getting an emergency message about the Morgantown Airport. I’m pretty close to the location of the Overseer’s next holotape, so I walk to Sutton and retrieve it before pivoting back to Hunter for Hire.
I walk to the broadcast tower and load the holotape that the sign I built spit out. It starts broadcasting a message to draw in would-be treasure hunters so I can pump them for information. The first guy who shows up is some random treasure hunter who isn’t much help.
Next, some gang members show up looking for Crane. I intimidate one of them into telling me that the gang makes its base at the West Virginia Lumber Company.
I report back to Duchess and she wants me to go deal with the gang leader, but Mort warns me that the Lumber Company was full of Super Mutants and if this gang cleared them out, they are probably too tough to go in guns blazing. He tips me off about a farm and a scrapper that may have some useful information that will help me get into the Lumber Mill.
I fast travel to Vault 76 and walk north to Anchor Farm. I don’t have the stats to get the residents to tell me what they know about the Lumber Mill gang, but I do locate a holotape that reveals they made a deal to provide the gang with supplies in exchange for being left alone. I also learn the password to get into the mill.
After I leave the farm, I set up my C.A.M.P. and offload the stuff I scavenged before logging out. Tomorrow, I’ll make my way to the scrapper to see what I can get out of him.
